Our Commitment
At Think Cre8tive Group CIC, we believe that creativity, music, and community belong to everyone. We are committed to making all our programmes—including Singing Club, Care Home Choirs, Sing It Out Mama, and U-Can-Play Ukulele—accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to all people, regardless of age, ability, background, or lived experience.
1. Accessibility
We will:
- Provide activities in accessible community venues, ensuring wheelchair access, accessible toilets, and step-free entry wherever possible.
- Offer materials in alternative formats (large print, digital, Easy Read) on request.
- Ensure facilitators are trained in inclusive practice, trauma-informed care, and supporting neurodivergent participants.
- Use plain language and avoid jargon in our communications.
- Make reasonable adjustments to meet the needs of individuals (e.g. flexible participation, rest breaks).
2. Inclusion
We will:
- Actively welcome people from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.
- Create safe spaces where participants feel heard, respected, and valued.
- Celebrate diversity in music choices, repertoire, and co-created content.
- Challenge discrimination, stigma, and barriers that prevent participation.
- Work alongside partners to widen access for marginalised groups, including disabled people, carers, and those referred through health and social prescribing.
3. Participation & Voice
We will:
- Involve participants in shaping our programmes through feedback, reflection, and co-creation tools.
- Provide multiple ways for participants to contribute—verbally, creatively, or anonymously.
- Ensure decision-making reflects the voices of those with lived experience.
4. Staff & Volunteer Responsibilities
- All staff, facilitators, and volunteers receive training on accessibility, inclusive communication, and equality, diversity & inclusion (EDI).
- Volunteers are supported to champion access within sessions.
- Leadership monitors and reports on progress annually.
5. Continuous Improvement
We are committed to listening, learning, and adapting. We will:
- Review this commitment annually.
- Monitor accessibility and inclusion through feedback, evaluation, and participant surveys.
- Share learning with partners and embed good practice across all delivery.
✨ Our Promise:
We will continue to remove barriers, challenge inequality, and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to take part, belong, and thrive through creativity and music.
