We aim to ensure that:

  • Pages are designed to be compatible with assistive technologies such as screen readers.
  • Text has sufficient colour contrast and is resizable.
  • Images include alternative text descriptions where possible.
  • Videos are captioned or subtitled where provided.

Standards

We strive to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at AA level, which are internationally recognised standards for accessibility.

What We’ve Done So Far

  • Structured headings for screen reader navigation.
  • Clear font styles and sizes.
  • Alt text added to images.
  • Keyboard navigation enabled.
  • Simple, logical menus.

Where We’re Improving

We know some parts of our site may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Some older documents or PDFs may not meet accessibility standards.
  • Some embedded third-party content (e.g. videos, maps) may not be fully accessible.
  • We are working towards improving accessibility in all future updates.
