1. Purpose

This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of all those representing or participating in Think Cre8tive Group CIC activities. It ensures that everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness, and that our work is delivered safely and inclusively.


2. Who it Applies To

  • Staff (including Directors and Project Coordinators)
  • Volunteers
  • Facilitators and co-facilitators
  • Participants in our programmes
  • Partners and visitors engaging with our services

3. Our Commitments

We commit to creating spaces that are:

  • Safe: free from harm, bullying, harassment, or discrimination.
  • Inclusive: welcoming of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities.
  • Respectful: valuing differences, lived experiences, and community voice.
  • Professional: upholding high standards of conduct and accountability.

4. Expected Standards of Behaviour

Respect & Inclusion

  • Treat everyone with dignity, kindness, and respect.
  • Value diversity and avoid discriminatory language or behaviour.
  • Use inclusive and accessible communication.

Safeguarding & Wellbeing

  • Follow safeguarding policies and report any concerns immediately.
  • Respect confidentiality, except where safeguarding requires disclosure.
  • Prioritise wellbeing, both personal and collective.

Professionalism

  • Be reliable and punctual. Inform supervisors if unable to attend.
  • Carry out agreed responsibilities to the best of your ability.
  • Avoid bringing the organisation into disrepute.

Boundaries

  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with participants.
  • Avoid situations that could be seen as favouritism or exploitation.
  • Do not engage in inappropriate, abusive, or harmful behaviour.

Health & Safety

  • Follow health and safety guidance at all times.
  • Report risks, accidents, or incidents immediately.
  • Help maintain safe and accessible environments.

5. Unacceptable Behaviour

The following will not be tolerated:

  • Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behaviour.
  • Breaches of safeguarding or confidentiality.
  • Aggressive, violent, or disruptive conduct.
  • Substance misuse or attending under the influence of drugs/alcohol.
  • Misuse of organisational property, funds, or reputation.

6. Breaches of the Code

  • Minor breaches may be dealt with informally through guidance or additional training.
  • Serious breaches may result in formal action, including ending a volunteer role, disciplinary action for staff, or exclusion from sessions.
  • Criminal behaviour will be reported to the relevant authorities.

7. Review & Accountability

  • All staff, volunteers, and participants will be asked to acknowledge and agree to this Code of Conduct.
  • The Board of Directors is responsible for oversight and review.
  • This Code will be reviewed annually or in response to learning and incidents.
